what do you do when the answer to “and how are they” is “oh, you didn’t know?, they died”?

do they feel sad when you say “well, life.”?

even if you express emphatic eyes?

do the situation gets worse when they say “it was unexpected” and you reply “you can’t control it, it will eventually happen to us all.”?
